One Live Beast

At the New York Comic Con a couple weeks ago, I met this guy Jeff (he signs his art just "Jeff") who is doing this trilogy of books, starting with "One Live Beast" -- a kind of post-apocalyptic book set in the slight future, where terrorist attacks and other disasters have destroyed vast parts of the U.S.

I haven't read it yet, but I was impressed with his art enough that I bought several pages of it at the Con. He had previously worked as a background artist, doing pages for Marvel and DC, and it shows. His architectural panels and page layout are strong, while his figures are still being perfected.

You can read the first few chapters at his website: http://www.arzynart.com/

... and I'm carrying the book at the shop, as well. It's in the Sci-Fi section. He's dedicated to the work, and will be putting out the second volume sometime this year, I believe.

If you want to pick it up, I'll give you a money-back guarantee. If you don't like it, bring it back, and tell me what you thought, and I'll give you your money back.
